Anyone can change boredom to fun
Do you go home and seem bored? Then why don’t you do something? I used to go home and be bored and tired. Then when I started to get active and get a hobby I became less bored. I got into sports such as swimming, volleyball, and kickball. So now I am so much more energetic and less bored. So why don’t you do what I did and be less bored, and more active? That’s what I did, so you can have your opinion and be lazy like I was, but I have changed and I’m never going back. I’m proud of how I’ve become from the laziness and boredom.

PSSA Prep
Today we started taking the PSSA and almost everyone was ready including myself. Although I was sitting next to the worst person to take a test with, my friend James. He makes me crack up way too much! He might get me off task. So I tried to not talk to him and it worked. By the end of the test I got done in a timely fashion and had a little time to “chill”. The end.

Museum Days
Let me tell you about my two favorite places in the Children’s Museum. It is where the crooked house is, and the Waterplay room. They are my favorite places because they have a lot of active things to do. But if I could make my own exhibit I would combine the two and come up with a crooked house in water.

When People Change and Act Different
When people change around you, you can’t lose yourself, change yourself or try to change with them. People often try to make you be something you’re not and hope you’re okay with it, but if they’re your real friend they won’t. They will like you for who you are. When people act funny, don’t sweat it, just brush it off and say something to them about it and don’t be scared. They will think it’s okay and do it over and over again if you dont say anything about it. But all I have to say is be yourself, and don’t be afraid to tell them how you feel and why you feel this way.

Swimming
My favorite hobby is swimming. I like to learn all of the moves and swimming strokes and all those interesting things. I also like to be in the water, it’s just a interesting hobby for me. I like swimming because in the water I feel free and like I can do anything. The number one thing about swimming that I like about it is jumping and doing flips into the pool. It is fun when there are toys or things in the pool to occupy us and others. Sometimes people throw pool parties so they can have a good time with their friends and family.

I sometimes like it and sometimes I don’t
Sometimes Youth Alive is boring and other times it is fun. We do a lot of fun things, like the water room is so fun, you can get wet and lots more. Another room I like is the house that tilts on this angle and it feels like there is no gravity when you walk into it. Also what I think is boring in Youth Alive is blogging and different things we do. I am building this lamp in Youth Alive, it is going to be made with beads hanging from the lamp and it’s going to be really cool.

My Experience At YouthALIVE
In my experience of YouthALIVE, we have done many things that are really cool. Some of the things I have done are MakeShop, where every time I have been there, there is always a challenge of the day. There were museum days where we could explore the museum. I have done a whole BUNCH of other things, but most importantly, I have made other friends and I have had a blast at YouthALIVE!!

My First Day of School
The first day of 6th grade dragged at Allegheny school. It felt like forever. We sit in the cafeteria for about 2 whole HOURS. I met my teacher there. I thought she was mean, but she was nice . First through eighth period went like this: science, social studies, reading, reading, lunch, math, math, gym. My bus driver’s name was Sir Blue. It took 15 minutes to get home from school. When I got home I did my reading homework. Then I ate, took a shower and went to sleep.
Fun Moments at YouthALIVE
One of the fun moments was when we went around the Museum and we got to pick the place we wanted to go, like the Make Shop. We got to do what we wanted to do. What I did was painting with my friends. Second, we got to play games like “Zip Zap Zop”. How you play is you have a group of people, and one person starts off and says “Zip”. Then you pass to someone else and they say “Zap”, and finally you pass it to another person and they say “Zop”. Then you can keep passing it.
